HISTORY

MAYHAYRON is a heavy metal band from Kraków, which was established around 1999 and 2000 by two guitarists, Maciek Grela and Michał Gackowski. During the first months an outline of first compositions emerged, first cover songs were developed and what’s more the rest of the crew joined in; Andrzej Sadowski – bass , Bartek Chyży – drums, Tomek „Harry” Ciechański - vocal. In the middle of 2001 Harry left the band,  Staszek Wysopal took his place and has stayed with the band for many years to come and he turned out to be very successful in his new role as a front man. Nevertheless, Harry has supported the band strongly and became Mayhayron’s top-notch lyrics author.

The band spent their first years playing concerts in many different places around the country. In February 2004 the band recorded their first demo album “Metal Spirit”. The demo was highly appreciated in the underground metal environment. Mayhayron’s first LP appeared in the beginning of 2006. The album titled “Still Want it Heavy” has been released solely with the band’s own funds and has met with appreciation of the public and critics.

Year 2007 brought reshuffle of the staff in Mayhayron’s ranks for the first time in many years.

Bartek left the band first and a couple of months after that Staszek decided to leave as well. They were replaced by the drummer Patryk Jawor and vocalist Olek “Merin” Skałka.

At present the band is preparing material for a new album which will be recorded in the nearest future. Throughout the years Mayhayron’s style hasn’t changed much. It is still good old heavy metal with a little pinch of thrash.
